JUST FOR YOU!

You can SPECIAL ORDER a beautiful PERSONAL CUSTOM ITALIAN CHARM that will be hand-crafted from your personal photo!  I can take virtually any digital or developed photo and turn it into a beautiful Custom Charm!  Just send me a picture of your family, kids, friends, pets, house, car, garden, hobbies, special events, holidays, vacations, school, company/business, or any other special person, occasion or memory.  These charms can become your own personal, WEARABLE PHOTO ALBUM, and also make WONDERFUL GIFTS!

CHOOSING & SENDING PICTURES

After you purchase your charm(s), please email to indicate how you would like to send your pictures.  Digital pictures sent by email work best and fastest.  If you scan your own photo, 300dpi is recommended.  If you send photos by mail, all originals will be returned with your finished charms.

To CHOOSE PICTURES that look best on a charm, they should be 1) clear and sharp, 2) rectangular in shape for standard 9mm charms, square for 13mm or Megalinks, and very long & narrow for Superlinks (see examples below), 3) single (such as a school picture) or double subjects (panoramic-style pictures for Superlinks), 4) head shots or close-ups, and 5) simple with contrasting, uncluttered backgrounds.    I can work with most photos to turn them into a nice charm, but please keep in mind that your Charm will only look as good as the Picture you send.

PICTURE DIMENSIONS & PROPORTIONS

IMPORTANT:  Please EMAIL (or mail) the ORIGINAL PHOTO(S)--do not cut or crop the pictures yourself. 

The actual size of the digital or developed photo does not matter; however, the proportions are very important.  For example, pictures for standard 9mm Charms must be cropped to proportions approximately equal to 6 inches wide by 3.7 inches high (ultimately, they will be reduced to 7.3mm by 4.5mm at 300 Pixels per Inch).  Below are some examples to show the different proportions of each type of Custom Charm:

If you are skilled at working with digital pictures, you may crop the picture or remove/add any background you would like, as long as the proportions are close to the dimensions described.  Otherwise, please allow me to crop them for you and send a sample by email, as described below.

CREATING YOUR PERSONAL CHARMS

I will work with your pictures to BEST ENHANCE your subject(s). After receiving your pictures, I will crop your them carefully for the best fit, to bring the subjects in as close as possible and minimize distortion. If you provide an email address, I will then send a sample by email for your approval before making your charm.  Please note that some charms may look better or need to be cropped in a Portrait, or vertical, format.

TURN-AROUND TIME

Please provide as much lead time as possible for me to get your Special Order Charm(s) to you, especially if they are for a special occasion.  Generally, plan on ABOUT 3 WEEKS to receive your charms, but I try to get them to you as soon as possible!  The time required for delivery of your charms depends on how quickly I receive your pictures, the time needed to crop them, and the time to get your final approval (usually about 1 week). Then it usually takes 4-5 days to make the charms and for the enamel to dry thoroughly enough to ship.  All Special Order sales are final.

"THE FINE PRINT"

PLEASE NOTE the following important information for Special Order Custom Charms: 1) Payment is expected up front before beginning any work. 2) Your picture will be reduced to 4.5mm x 7.3mm, so please keep in mind how small this is. 3) Any small details or lettering in the picture may be difficult to see or read. 4) This purchase is for cropping and resizing of the picture only, not technical digital imaging or enhancements (e.g., changing backgrounds, colors, etc.). 5) The quality of the picture on the charm will be only as good as the quality of the photo you provide. 6) Some pictures will look better vertical rather than horizontal. 7) Cropping and resizing the original picture to fit a 9mm charm sometimes results in some distortion, even though I work to minimize this. 8) An excessive number of changes, special requests, etc, may result in additional charges. 9) I will treat your original photos with care, but cannot be responsible for loss or damage that may occur during mailing. 10) Not all pictures can be effectively turned into a charm because of the image, inability to crop to fit, resizing, etc. (e.g., square pictures)--if this happens, I will inform you and we can work out other options. 11) I reserve the right to refuse to make any particular charm--this is the one circumstance in which I will provide a full refund. 12) I do not offer quantity discounts or refunds.
